CHÚA NHẬT 14 THƯỜNG NIÊN B
FOURTEEN SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
Mc 6, 1-6

 

 

Khi ấy, Chúa Giêsu trở về quê nhà và các môn đệ cùng theo Người. Đến ngày Sabbat, Người vào giảng trong hội đường, và nhiều thính giả sửng sốt về giáo lý của Người, nên nói rằng: "Bởi đâu ông này được như vậy? Sao ông được khôn ngoan như vậy? Bởi đâu tay Người làm được những sự lạ thể ấy? 
 

Jesus departed from there and came to his native place, accompanied by his disciples. When the sabbath came he began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard him were astonished. They said, "Where did this man get all this? What kind of wisdom has been given him? What mighty deeds are wrought by his hands! 
 

Von dort brach Jesus auf und kam in seine Heimatstadt; seine Jünger begleiteten ihn. Am Sabbat lehrte er in der Synagoge. Und die vielen Menschen, die ihm zuhörten, staunten und sagten: Woher hat er das alles? Was ist das für eine Weisheit, die ihm gegeben ist! Und was sind das für Wunder, die durch ihn geschehen!

 

Ông này chẳng phải bác thợ mộc con bà Maria, anh em với Giacôbê, Giuse, Giuđa và Simon sao? Chị em ông không ở với chúng ta đây sao?" Và họ vấp phạm vì Người. 
 

Is he not the carpenter, the son of Mary, and the brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon? And are not his sisters here with us?" And they took offense at him. 
 

Ist das nicht der Zimmermann, der Sohn der Maria und der Bruder von Jakobus, Joses, Judas und Simon? Leben nicht seine Schwestern hier unter uns? Und sie nahmen Anstoß an ihm und lehnten ihn ab.

 

Chúa Giêsu liền bảo họ: "Không một tiên tri nào mà không bị khinh bỉ ở quê hương, gia đình họ hàng mình". Ở đó Người không làm phép lạ nào được, ngoại trừ đặt tay chữa vài bệnh nhân, và Người ngạc nhiên vì họ cứng lòng tin. Người đi rảo qua các làng chung quanh mà giảng dạy. 
 

Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in his native place and among his own kin and in his own house." So he was not able to perform any mighty deed there, apart from curing a few sick people by laying his hands on them. He was amazed at their lack of faith. 
 

Da sagte Jesus zu ihnen: irgends hat ein Prophet so wenig Ansehen wie in seiner Heimat, bei seinen Verwandten und in seiner Familie. Und er konnte dort kein Wunder tun; nur einigen Kranken legte er die Hände auf und heilte sie. Und er wunderte sich über ihren Unglauben. Jesus zog durch die benachbarten Dörfer und lehrte.
